Mar 13, 2016 · Like today, just outside my house, it came up with the gearbox fault and stayed in 'R' so I just switched off, left the selector in 'N' When I went back an hour later turned on the ignition, on the display the 'R' quickly changed to 'N' and it's back to normal for a while, selecting all gears as normal again.. Well it seems to be getting worse quite fast, As a started this thread the problem had only happened 3 times, now on the way home yesterday it happened a total of 5 times in an hour trip. The gearbox doesnt go down a gear when it judders, it stays in the same gear. Mainly its in 6th gear. but it happened once while shifting from 2-3. Sep 9, 2022 · My c4 grand picasso semi auto. Aug 12, 2013 · We have a 57 EGS C4 Picasso with only 31000 miles and have had terrible trouble over the years. A couple of years ago the computer on the gearbox failed and we had to have it replaced ( 6 months out of warranty). And for the past year we have had a juddering stuttering gear change into 1st and 2nd gear.

Our Picasso (120k) has decided it doesn't want to select gears anymore. I obtained a lexia/diagbox and it's came back with 3 faults. P1704 Brake Signal Fault. P1755 clutch actuator position control fault. P1749 Gearbox fault. I cleared the codes and the only one remaining was P1755. Originally the fault was listed as temporary but then came An update on the gearbox fault. I took the car to Citroen Birmingham and they diagnosed a problem with the "electro pump". It had ceased and was blowing the fusebox. The hose pipe connected to the pump had bursted too. The irony is that my independent warranty company (Click4Warranty) 5-star, does not cover that part - very upset.

Jun 1, 2016 · S-Max and Touran look too expensive, Zafira too crap, and so we're looking at a Citroen Grand C4 Picasso. I've done a test drive in a 1.6 diesel (120bph), manual gearbox, and it would do. My 2016 GP has developed the following problem. Everything ok for first mile or so then manual gear selection with paddles will not work and cannot select manual with lever it stays in auto. After about another 10 miles display pops up "Gear Box Fault etc". Local dealer has diagnosed and says requires new " Actuator 9802017380" at £1000 plus !!!

They did a roadtest but no fault - fault tends to happen after the engine has warmed up although now happens soon after starting.

Sep 3, 2021 · I have a 2007 Citroen c4 grand Picasso 1.6hdi auto. I started getting the esp/asr and handbrake fault and now the abs and gearbox fault. I believe these are two different issues but I’m not sure. The abs and gearbox fault started coming on and would kick me out of auto, only allowing me to use manual up to 3rd gear.

But in order to position and understand the current Citroen C4, we only need to remember Citroen cars from the 2000s-2010s. So, in the early 2000s, the Citroen C4 came out - a traditional C-class car, which was offered in two bodies: a 5-door family hatchback with a calm look or a dynamic, tightened "3-door". I bought a (2007) C4 Grand Picasso in April last year and love it!! But in the last week or so it hasn't been engaging gear properly. It intermittently doesn't engage reverse and has started doing it in forward gears too. It doesn't do it all the time and seems to take a few attempts to engage the gear. Any ideas? VpQV8.
